About the Artist

Most of my recent work has been triggered by observations of and responses to the natural world, of how similar patterns and shapes recur throughout, from basic cellular forms to plant shapes to those in far vaster landscapes, and above all the effect light has on what we see and on how we feel, and of the myriad permutations of colour it allows us to experience.

These works also explore and reflect the fleetingness of our memories, and the wealth of individual experience which inform our responses to any given moment.

These ideas are relevant to how we respond to all of nature, to the transience of life, referring to the continual ebb and flow between the conscious and unconscious in our every day existence.
